Phoenixville, PA- Producer Vanderslice released a new EP this Sunday called “Oh My God”, which may be the first hip-hop instrumental record using strictly gospel records. With assistance from Green Steez, quickly rising producer Vanderslice offers up a 9 track project that will make you feel like you’ve been taken to church (with bigger speakers) even if you live a life of sin. “This album is all gospel records, some rarer than others, but all of them fancy. These are some of my favorite ones. Thank you for listening.” The EP is available exclusively at https://vanderslice.
Vanderslice is known for his dark, gutter, hard hitting production work with Stu Bangas “Diggas With Attitude” and Blaq Poet “Blaq Poet Society” 1&2 albums, as well as work with Alchemist, Roc Marciano, Evidence, Stat Quo, Action Bronson, Apathy, AWAR, Vinny Paz and more. The “Oh My God” EP carries a different tone in comparison to Vanderslice’s past work, implementing a soulful element into his signature drums and live elements.
The “Oh My God” EP serves as a precursor to the upcoming projects by Vanderslice, including his debut production album “Everything’s Awesome” which includes features from Freddie Gibbs, Evidence, AWAR, Maffew Ragazino, Twin Gambino, Celph Titled and more is due out in the first quarter of 2014 on vinyl and digitally. AWAR & Vanderslice will be dropping their full-length album “The Winning Team” in the spring as well, featuring guest appearances by Freddie Gibbs, Roc Marciano, Troy Ave and more.
